What this policy does not cover
This policy does not cover clinical care. If you are a patient of Little Bird Farm and Naturopathic Clinic, the personal and health information in your clinical record is handled under the Clinic's own privacy practices and applicable health privacy law. Nothing in this policy changes how your clinical information is handled, and buying an education product does not move your clinical information into it. The two are kept separate.
Who we serve
Our products and programs are directed to residents of Canada and the United States. We do not market them elsewhere.
What we collect
Information you give us:
- Your first and last name, email address, and billing country, province or state, and postal or ZIP code
- Payment details, which are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
- A record of what you purchased and when
- Anything you write to us by email or through a form on the site
- If you attend a live session: anything you type in the chat or Q&A, and your name, image and voice if you turn on your camera, speak, or are spotlighted
Â
Information collected automatically:
When you use our website, receive our emails or access your course account, Kajabi may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Cookies and website functionality: Small pieces of information stored in your browser to support functions such as login sessions and checkout.
- Email engagement: Information about whether you open our emails or click links within them.
- Course activity: Information about your lesson completion, course progress and engagement with recordings.
How we use your information
- To provide the services you purchased, including course access, session links and recordings
- To send receipts and maintain legally required tax and business records
- To respond to your questions and requests
- To send emails you have signed up to receive
- To understand how our website and emails are performing
- To meet our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
Live sessions and recordings
Live sessions are recorded and made available afterward to everyone who purchased the session or series. Recordings are hosted online and can be streamed through your course account. They are also available to download for a limited period. Streaming access and download availability vary by course or session; details are provided in your course content.
During live sessions, other attendees may see your displayed name and any messages you post in the chat. If you turn on your camera or microphone, they may also see and hear you. Your name, image, voice and comments may be captured in the recording and shared with other purchasers.
We intentionally include a designated Q&A period and will make reasonable efforts to remove attendee questions, voices, images, names and identifying details from recordings before sharing them. However, we cannot guarantee that every incidental appearance or comment will be removed, particularly when questions are asked during the presentation rather than during the designated Q&A period.
Please keep this in mind when speaking, turning on your camera or posting in the chat. You may submit general questions without sharing personal health information.
Please do not share personal health information in the chat, as messages are visible to other attendees and may be captured in the recording.
Attendees must not record, take screenshots, photograph or otherwise capture any part of a live session. They must also respect other attendees’ privacy and must not share their images, comments or personal information outside the session.
Cookies
Our website and course platform use cookies—small pieces of information stored in your browser—to support functions such as login sessions and checkout.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect certain features, including your ability to stay logged in or complete a purchase.
Who we share your information with
We use the following service providers to support our services. They receive or process information needed to perform their functions:
- Kajabi: Website hosting, checkout, purchase records, course access and progress tracking, email list management and automated email delivery
- Stripe: Payment processing through Kajabi
- Gmail: Sending, receiving and managing email correspondence
- Zoom for Healthcare: Hosting and recording live sessions through our Canadian healthcare account
We may also disclose personal information when required by law.
Where your information is stored
Our service providers may store or process personal information outside Canada, including in the United States. Storage locations depend on the provider, the service and our account settings.
Information stored or processed in another country may be accessible to that country’s courts, law enforcement or national security authorities under its laws.
How long we keep your information
- Email list: Until you unsubscribe. Afterward, we retain a minimal record of your unsubscribe request to help ensure you are not inadvertently added back to the mailing list.
- Purchase and tax records: Generally, for at least six years from the end of the last tax year to which the records relate, or longer where legally required.
- Course accounts: For the duration of your course access.
- Session recordings: Until the retention date specified in your course content, after which we delete the copies we hold. We cannot delete copies previously downloaded by purchasers.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing and newsletter emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those emails. You may still receive necessary communications about your purchases or course access.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request corrections and ask us to delete it. Please email [email protected], and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Some limits apply. We must retain purchase and tax records for the legally required period, generally at least six years from the end of the last tax year to which they relate. We also cannot remove your information from copies of recordings that purchasers have already downloaded.
You can withdraw your consent to our use of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Depending on the information involved, withdrawing consent may affect our ability to continue providing a product or service you have purchased.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, and we rely on the security practices of the providers listed above. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children
Our products are intended for adults. They are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version and the date it was last updated are always shown at the top of this page.
